Features and Benefits

Wyse-enhanced Microsoft® Windows® CE 5.0 Offers Increased Performance and Flexibility

Wyse is the first to market with the newest version, 5.0, of the world's most popular operating system for thin clients, Microsoft Windows CE. The Wyse-enhanced Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 provides administrators with increased flexibility and performance, while maintaining the same simplicity as previous versions of CE.

Now IT managers can take advantage of enhanced local security and the many supported peripherals and add-ons available. It also introduces new Wyse-enhanced features, including fast boot and a user interface that can be localized to French, German, or Spanish with the simple push of an add-on.

Plus, with optional windowing, managers can select between the familiar Windows task bar interface or the traditional thin-client connection manager. This new Wyse firmware contains exclusive features not available from any other vendor.

NOTE: Only Wyse CE-based devices with a minimum of 32MB flash can upgrade to Windows CE 5.0
